Just north of Downtown Denver you will
find the suburbs of Northglenn and Thornton. Just 10 minutes north of downtown and only 15 east of the airport makes this area very convenient for commuters. Increases in home values, low unemployment, and high median household income placed Thornton fifth in the Top 5 "Most Livable Mid-Sized Cities of 2019" according to SmartAsset. It boasts 2,000 acres of open space and recreation areas including the Rocky Mountain Arsenal and National Wildlife Refuge, 25 parks, golf courses, and a premium outlet mall. Northglenn sits just to the east of Thornton and shares many of its shopping, restaurants, and open space with Thornton. Established in 1959, Northglenn was one of the original “suburbs” of Denver.
