Franktown, and Elizabeth are located 40 minutes south east of Denver and serrated by 7 miles of ranches and rolling hills. Denver’s 9NEWS reported that over 80% of area residents commute to Denver and Colorado Springs for work. Known for its open spaces and a rural setting, Elizabeth is home to just over 1,500 people, which is the most populous city in Elbert county. In contrast, Franktown with half the population is the smallest town in Douglas County. Both are quickly growing communities, Elizabeth is known for the lower prices, lower taxes, and more rural living.
