Memorial Park’s Annual Summer Symphony & Fireworks
Colorado Springs’ premier 4th of July event has to be Memorial Park’s fantastic fireworks display. Grab your family, a blanket, and head down to beautiful Memorial Park! Starting at 5:30, the Air Force Academy will showcase their musical talents. At 7:30, the world-renowned Colorado Springs Philharmonic will perform even more symphonic delights! As always, the fireworks display will take place at dusk and it is sure to dazzle Colorado Springs residents yet again. The best park is, it’s free! If you can’t make it down to the park and you live somewhere with a view, you can still see the fireworks from many spots around town.

11th Annual Pikes Peak Art and Music Festival
This weekend, America the Beautiful park is hosting the 11th Annual Pikes Peak Art and Music Festival. The festival, set against the picturesque landscape of the park, features amazing pieces of art from national and local artists. Many people like to say that Colorado Springs does not have a great art scene, but this festival will prove all those naysayers wrong! Come get some culture along with the July sun from July 3rd to July 5th. The festival runs from 10am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, as well as 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Admission is just $5 for all three days. Kids under 16 are free, as well as free admission for our brave military members on July 4th. Come support local art and all the unique features of Colorado Springs!

Sky Sox Fireworks Celebration
Sky Sox baseball games are some of the most fun that can be had in Colorado Springs. Watch America’s favorite pastime, then stay for a brilliant fireworks display as you enjoy a hot dog and some peanuts. What could be more American than that? The gates open at 5, and the first pitch will be thrown out at 7:05. Watch the Sky Sox take on the Memphis Redbirds and enjoy a night out with the family!
Independence Eve Celebration
Denver is hosting more free fun up in Civic Center Park this Saturday! There will be a free concert, a light show, and, of course, a fireworks display over the skyline of Denver. Civic Center Park is a phenomenal place to spend the day, with immaculate landscaping and wonderful architecture. Maybe head over to Denver early and take in the sights of the 16th Street Mall and grab a bite to eat before heading over to check out the fireworks display!

Elitch Garden still packs a punch with its thrilling rides and fun-filled atmosphere. 4th of July is all about spending quality time with family, and what better way than going to Colorado’s best theme park? If you haven’t been to Elitch’s in a while, be sure to relive the fun with the added bonus of fireworks! What could be better enjoying some time in the sun while traveling at breakneck speeds?
There’s much more than we have in this list here, but these are the highlights that should help you get out of the house this 4th of July weekend. Of course, staying in and barbecuing with family and friends is a great option too! Whatever you decide to do, please make sure to stay safe and responsible.
